Nice to meet you!
I'm Tim Huynh — Software Engineer
Right now, I'm at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, where the software I build helps protect power grids serving millions of people. I work at the intersection of backend systems and AI — building high-throughput bridges, RAG pipelines, and CI/CD automation that keeps critical infrastructure reliable.
Before SEL, I founded FarmLink, an AgriTech platform connecting 200+ farmers across Vietnam — accepted into NVIDIA Inception and Google Cloud programs. I graduated from UIC with a 4.0 GPA in Computer Science.
What I do day-to-day
I own an automated testing platform for IEC 61850 protection systems — the relay networks that keep power grids stable. My Go-to-Python bridge bypasses the GIL to process thousands of concurrent messages in real time.
AI Infrastructure
I productionized a RAG system that lets internal teams search thousands of engineering docs instead of clicking through Confluence. Caching layers I built cut p95 latency and token costs significantly.
DevOps & Reliability
Hardened core systems with job orchestration, idempotency, and structured logging. I also automated distributed Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for rigorous API validation under high-stress network testing.
Open Source
I ship tools for the AI community — from MCP servers that integrate Wireshark with LLMs to S3 tooling for AI agents. My MCP-Wireshark project earned the GitHub Starstruck achievement.
